Canyoning in Corippo (Ticino): Your entry into a fascinating trend sport
Hiking, cycling, swimming or climbing – the Verzasca Valley in Ticino, Switzerland is made for a relaxing active holiday. Many canyoning enthusiasts also fondly remember their first canyoning tour near Corippo, the smallest municipality in Switzerland with just 12 inhabitants, whose historic village center has been a listed building since 1975.
On our hike to Corippo canyoning, we pay a short visit to the village. Then it starts with a special kind of outdoor experience, which for many enthusiastic canyonists represented the first entry into this exciting sport. Following the course of the water, we practice jumping into green shimmering pools, we pave our way through narrow crevices or we happily slide down the slopes. At the end of the day, the highlight of canyoning in the Corippo Valley awaits us, the slide into the Vogorno reservoir, the banks of which we swim to.
The four-hour gorge tour is ideal for beginners, families or groups who want to spend a varied day together. If you register as a group, it can be varied according to your wishes.
For families with younger children or people with physical disabilities, it is advisable, for example, not to cross the entire canyon in the Corippo Valley, but to stay in the upper area, where there are enough opportunities to try out the canyoning experience in a playful way. Previous knowledge is not required for canyoning at Corippo, only swimming skills are required.
Ideally suited for beginners and canyoningists with some previous experience: Canyoning Basic in Corippo
With the choice of a canyoning tour at the basic level, you can’t go wrong, regardless of whether you are taking part in such an outdoor experience for the first time or have already gained experience on other canyoning experiences.
The tour we plan is accompanied by our certified guides. They know the canyons as well as they do at home and show you in advance how to secure yourself when abseiling and what else to watch out for.
The group size is limited to a maximum of seven participants on our canyoning tours. This has three advantages:
• The guides keep an eye on every participant and can give you a helping hand at any time if necessary.
• You will get to know each other better in a smaller group during the ascent.
• In a large group, nature and the experience itself usually take a back seat. But our aim is to make canyoning in Corippo a unique experience for you, so that you come into contact with the natural elements around you and within yourself.
What you have seen, experienced, dared, you will feed on and tell for a long time to come. So that you can give friends, relatives, and colleagues an idea of this, we offer you a photo service at no extra charge.
The special equipment required for the tour is also included in the price. So you can get a carefree first impression of canyoning at Corippo, but you don't have to make large investments in equipment.
